INA/BRN - Indonesia fight back to down Bahrain, play for 13th place

Indonesia were down 0-10 in the first five minutes, but rallied gallantly to beat Bahrain 85-62 in the 13-16 Classification. Indonesia will thus take on India for the 13th place on the morrow.

JP Aguilar had game-highs of 21 points and 12 rebounds to take Philippines to a 113-71 win in the final Group B game against Bahrain on Saturday.

Bahrain’s return to FIBA Asia Championship after 14 years turned a baptism by fire as the GCC team ran into a rasping red-hot hosts China, who played like they had a lot of points to prove in their 101-49 win.

BRN - New look Bahrain hope to learn from Wuhan

Coming into the fray after 12 years – Fukuoka 1999 was their last participation – Bahrain will bring to the Sept 15-25 26th FIBA Asia Championship a young and new look team under an American coach and hope to build for the future.

BRN - Bahrain League – Simpson explodes as Hala win League title

American Patrick Simpson exploded into a game-high 45 points as Al Hala rallied in the fourth quarter to an 82-76 win in Game 3 of the Bahrain Premier League Finals and regain the title they had last won in 1996. Hala had won the Game 1 of the best-of-three Finals 91-82 and Muharraq bounced back to win Game 2 79-74.
