DOHA, Qatar (2011 Doha tri-nation / 26th FIBA Asia Championship): GCC champions Qatar and 2010 FIBA Asia Stankovic Cup winners Lebanon exchanged victories against each other leaving Syria winless as all three prepared for the Sept 15-25 26th FIBA Asia Championship at Wuhan.
Lebanon beat Qatar in the first leg 58-56, but the latter bounced back in the return leg to win 79-64.
In between those two games, Lebanon beat Syria 79-59 and Qatar won 70-60 against Syria in the return leg games..
Lebanon had won 82-58 and Qatar beat Syria 87-57 in the first leg games.
Targuy Ngombo (pic above) drafted by current NBA champions Dallas Mavericks earlier this year, gave a good account of himself leading the scoring average for the competition with 19.8 points per game.
